Heartwood offers a range of indigenous trees such as Wild Olive (Olea africana), Outeniqua Yellowwood (Podocarpus falcatus), Podocarpus latifolius(the national Yellowwood tree of South Africa) and Spekboom(Portulacaria afra) along with a few famous citrus trees and the beautiful, fruit producing Mission Olive(Olea europaea).
These saplings are sourced and grown locally.
They come hand-delivered with instructions for their care and can also be branded on a tag with eco-friendly ink or decorated with our hand-carved wooden heart.

Weddings & Functions
Heartwood trees can be custom branded (with eco-friendly ink) for corporate or other events. With every conference, business, wedding or event being unique, we’d like to like to liaise with you directly to ensure your Heartwood tree is matched with your needs as far as branding, labels and tags are concerned.
Heartwood trees are great to use in tree-planting teambuilding exercises or in a corporate social investment project. We would like to get companies more involved in the process of greening than ever before. Whichever way you choose to use them, Heartwood trees are the perfect gift and are available at a reduced rate for orders over 50.
Heartwood Signature Trees
Packaged individually in a starch bag. Each gift comes with a hand-carved wooden heart and a Heartwood tree tag with instructions for their care and some interesting information about your Heartwood. Our recycled cardboard box houses your beautiful gift.
Our trees are indigenous and we have a small selection of Olive and Citrus trees available.
On average our Heartwoods are 1m in height.

Heartwood Saplings
Our Saplings are individually packaged in a starch bag, which sits in a compostable pot and is completed with a hand-carved wooden heart.
Our recycled cardboard box houses your beautiful gift.
Each gift comes with a Heartwood tree tag with instructions for their care and some interesting information about your Heartwood.
Price: R295 each excluding delivery.

Please note that you need to take your Heartwood out of its starch bag or make holes in the bag before you place them in the ground. Your starch bag can also be placed on your compost heap as it biodegrades.
Your Compostable pot can go straight into the ground!
